In the January 1995 Interim Road and Bridge Specificationsthere appears a miscalculation in Section 303.04 (k) 2. incomputing the amount to be paid to the Contractor for overhaul.The Specification currently states the Contractor will be paid"$0.035 per station per cubic meter for overhaul". Thepayment for overhaul should correctly read "$0.043 perstation per cubic meter for overhaul". The 1997 edition ofthe Metric Road and Bridge Specifications will correctly reflectthis change, however, since the Department has several on- goingmetric projects where this information is incorrectly stated aSpecial Provision Copied Note (see attached) has been preparedfor inclusion in these contracts as well as those that will beadvertised before the 1997 metric edition of the Specificationsbecomes effective.
This Special Provision Copied Note will become effective withthe receipt of this memorandum and should apply retroactively toon-going metric projects advertised under the 1995 Interim MetricRoad and Bridge Specifications.
