As Lynchburg’s district administrator (acting), Guercia oversees VDOT’s construction, maintenance and operations for approximately 15,000 miles of primary and secondary highways in a 10-county district that includes the cities of Danville and Lynchburg.

Work Experience:

Guercia has served as Lynchburg assistant district administrator for construction, preliminary engineering and planning and investment management since 2008.  Previously, he worked in the State of Florida for over 20 years in transportation-related construction management, traffic, project management and maintenance roles.  

Education:

A licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in materials science engineering from the University of Florida.
