About this Bulletin
Happy Holidays VDOT Team,Soon it will be a new year. Before we dive into 2008, it’s important we take a moment to recognize all the hard work and accomplishments of the past year.
In this last 2007 Bulletin, we’ve taken an opportunity to highlight some of your achievements this year.
Check out this issue’s Virtual Visit. It celebrates the 20th annual State Roadeo Competition and Safety Awareness Day.
From the judging to the hearty barbeque – it’s all there. You can also “meet” the state’s first-place winners that went on to represent us at the regional roadeo.
Learn about the recent Virginia Tech "Thank You" event that recognized several of our employees for their efforts following the shooting tragedy in April; a Powhite Parkway Extension employee from Richmond who saved a man from choking; and a firsthand look at what it’s like for our crews plowing snow every winter.
We hope you enjoy this issue. As always, we invite you to share your story ideas at vdotemployeenews@vdot.virginia.gov.
On behalf of the Bulletin staff, please have a safe and happy holiday.
