The Lynchburg District of the Virginia Department of Transportation in south-central Virginia is responsible for approximately 15, 000 miles of primary and secondary roads and is comprised of the counties of:

• Campbell
• Charlotte
• Cumberland
• Halifax
• Nelson
• Pittsylvania
• Prince Edward
