Applicants must follow the Fairfax County & VDOT street acceptance process to turn secondary roads over to VDOT for maintenance in Fairfax County.
Developers are responsible for working closely with their Fairfax County Inspector throughout this process.

VDOT does not accept roadways from developers. Roads are accepted for state maintenance from the local governing body. Contact Fairfax County for information.
