CADconform Server

CADconform Server Software has been activated for all Vdot Road Design projects. CADconform is a software package that will give users the ability to check their design files for adherence to VDOT Cadd Standards for level, text height & width, text font, line style, and line weight.  The software works very much like a spell checker as it will identify an incorrect item, allow the user to fix it or delete it as well as create reports on what actions were or were not taken. It can also be run in a batch mode for multiple files to be checked and a report generated over night. You may purchase the software by contacting Marie Franklyn of Altiva Software (software manufacturer) @ (281) 295-2252.  Purchase of the software is not required, however MicroStation files will be scanned at VDOT and returned to the consultant if Standards are not met.  The necessary dictionary files that are used by the software for checking purposes, can be download from this site and are available on our ftp site in the dgnconform folder under the download folder.  These dictionary files may be updated frequently, so you may need to monitor the web site for changes.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the AES Helpdesk @ (804)786-1280 or 1(888)683-0345.
