CADconform / Dictionary Files

CADconform is a software package that will give users the ability to check their design files for adherence to VDOT Cadd Standards for level, text height & width, text font, line style, and line weight.  The software works very much like a spell checker as it will identify an incorrect item, allow the user to fix it or delete it as well as create reports on what actions were or were not taken. It can also be run in a batch mode for multiple files to be checked and a report generated over night.

You may purchase the software by contacting Marie Franklyn of Altiva Software (software manufacturer) @ (281) 295-2250.  Purchase of the software is not required. The necessary dictionary files that are used by the software for checking purposes can be downloaded from VDOT FTP site in the “dgnconform” folder under the “download” folder.

These dictionary files may be updated, so you may need to monitor the VDOT FTP site for changes.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the CADD Support Helpdesk
