Upcoming PPTA Projects and Proposals

I-64 Peninsula Corridor Study

Location:  The I-64 study corridor begins at the interchange between I-95 and I-64 in Richmond and extends to the I-664 and I-64 interchange in Hampton.

For more information about the peninsula location study contact Nick Nies at nicholas.nies@vdot.virginia.gov

Notice:  VDOT is evaluating the I-64 peninsula study corridor as a candidate PPTA project. Unsolicited proposals for development and/or operation of the location study corridor as a stand alone project or any similar or related projects under the PPTA will not be accepted pending completion of an evaluation as a candidate PPTA project.  Any unsolicited proposals will be returned to the proposer.

Southeastern Parkway and Greenbelt

Location: The Southeastern Parkway and Greenbelt (SEPG) study corridor begins at the interchange of Interstates 64 and 464 in Chesapeake, and extends generally east and northeast, around Stumpy Lake, terminating at Interstate 264 east of Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach.

Notice: VDOT is evaluating the environmental study and coordinating a financial evaluation with the partner localities to better define the possible scope of the RFP and reduce development risk for potential proposers. Unsolicited proposals for advancement of the SEPG, or any similar or related projects such as the Oak Grove Connector and Route 168, under the PPTA will not be accepted pending the completion of the evaluation of responses to the planned RFP. Any unsolicited proposals will be returned to sender.
