Project Management Office
The mission of the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is to continuously improve the commonwealth's transportation system by incorporating best business practices and tools, aligned with the agency's organizational goals.
The focus of VDOT's PMO is on people, processes and tools, with an objective of defining and maintaining standardized best practices and methodologies.
PMO is committed to supporting project managers by:
- Defining agency project management policy and procedures
- Implementing project management tools and techniques
- Ensuring the delivery of relevant project management training that facilitate a disciplined approach, with a standardized project management environment, for effective and efficient execution of VDOT's transportation projects.
