| Section 109.08 of the Specifications indicates that perishable items are not allowable for payment as materials on hand. Perishable items are defined as those which have a finite shelf life or period of time in which they must be used or become subject to deterioration and/or loss of effectiveness. | |
| As a result of recent inquiries, it has been reaffirmed through our Materials Division that paints, epoxies, and pavement marking materials are classified as perishable items and, as such, are not allowable for payment. | |
