| Due to recent field evaluations it has been determined that the current stiffness requirement of 35 psi for outlet pipes is not adequate. Attached is a copied note for a higher strength pipe. Therefore, on all projects advertised after December 1994 all outlet pipes shall provide a minimum stiffness of 70 psi, at 5% deflection, when tested according to ASTM D-4212. This will apply to Standards UD-1 through UD-7 and CD-1 & 2. | |
| For projects underway where outlets have not been installed and the contractor has not purchased the material, please negotiate a work order to install the higher strength pipe. | |
