STATEWIDE WINTER ROAD CONDITIONS UPDATE: 4:00PM
Interstate and primary roads across the state are mostly clear following this weekend’s snow fall.
Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews are making good progress clearing secondary roads, including subdivision streets, in areas hardest hit by the storm – Northern Virginia, the Fredericksburg and Culpeper regions and the Shenandoah Valley.
While the major roads are mostly dry and clear, wet areas may freeze overnight, particularly on bridges and overpasses. Monday morning commuters are urged to drive with care.
For the latest road conditions information, motorists may call 5-1-1 or visit www.virginiadot.org.
