Daytime, nighttime paving scheduled for Interstate 81 in Wytheville
Paving begins at 2 a.m. Monday (July 21)
WYTHEVILLE, Va. – Due to paving operations in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 between Mileposts 57 and 61 in Wythe County, motorists are advised to expect delays.
Twenty-four hour milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin Monday (July 21) at 2 a.m. and paving will continue through Thursday (July 24). It is anticipated that paving will resume again Monday, July 28, and should be finalized by mid-week.
Motorists should pay close attention to workers and work zone signs and be alert to the possibility of milled pavement or uneven lanes while paving is underway. (END)
