Thirteen highway contracts valued at $9 million approved for southwestern Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. – Thirteen highway contracts valued at approximately $9 million were recently awarded in the Bristol District of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).  The Bristol District consists of 12 counties in southwestern Virginia:  Washington, Smyth, Lee, Scott, Russell, Buchanan, Tazewell, Bland, Wise, Dickenson, Grayson, and Wythe.

Elk Knob Inc., Pennington Gap, was awarded a $51,096 bridge superstructure replacement contract for Route 753-Dolinger Road in Grayson County.

W-L Construction & Paving Inc., Chilhowie, received twelve separate contracts valued at approximately $9 million for paving at various locations in the Bristol District.      (END)
