ROAD CLOSED NEXT WEEK FOR RAIL ROAD BRIDGE WORK
Week-long closure on Route 677 (Broomley Road)


CULPEPER— The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 677 (Broomley Road) in Albemarle County from Aug 10-14 so crews from Buckingham Branch Rail can make repairs to the timber deck on the rail road bridge.

The road will be closed approximately .12 miles north of Route 250 to1.73 miles south of Route 1652. There will be a detour in place at Route 250. The detour route is west on Route 250, turn right on Route 676, turn right on Route 677.

The 511 Web site also provides live traffic cameras for many major highways across Virginia, including Interstate 64, Routes 29 and 250 in Charlottesville area.
