ROUTE 3 TRAFFIC SHIFT SET FOR MARCH 29 IN STEVENSBURG
Motorists should stay alert for new traffic pattern near York Road
The traffic shift on Route 3 (Germanna Highway) has been rescheduled for March 29.
CULPEPER — A new traffic pattern will take effect March 29 on Route 3 (Germanna Highway) as part of the ongoing project to widen the last remaining portion of two-lane highway between Culpeper and Fredericksburg.
From 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, travelers in both directions should expect brief traffic stops of up to 15 minutes between the entrance to Luck Stone and Route 663 (Stevensburg Road) while crews paint new line markings and adjust traffic-control devices.
Existing message boards will be updated to notify drivers of the switch. Motorists should use caution through the length of the work zone and remain alert as traffic adjusts to the new pattern.
The $23.6 million project is anticipated to be complete in early fall.
