CEDAR RUN BRIDGE TO CLOSE FOR REHABILITATION OCT. 9
Route 672 in Fauquier County will be closed through Nov. 30

CULPEPER — The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Route 672 (Blackwell Road) to through traffic while crews rehabilitate the bridge over Cedar Run in Fauquier County.  

The bridge, located 0.5-mile from the town of Warrenton, will be closed beginning Oct. 9. Weather permitting, the road is expected to reopen to traffic Nov. 30. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the closure. Access to all commercial and private entrances will be maintained.

The existing Cedar Run bridge was built in 1966 and carries over 1,400 vehicles daily.
