FREDERICKSBURG – Beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close one lane on Route 3 east at the intersection of Gordon Road in Spotsylvania County.  Motorists will also be restricted to one lane on Gordon Road between Route 3 and Old Plank Road and the right turn lane from Gordon Road to Route 3 east will be closed.

This closure is in connection with a planned event associated with the Route 3 widening project.  

All lanes will be open to traffic by 11 a.m.
