FREDERICKSBURG – Beginning at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will temporarily close Hood Drive to all traffic for a paving operation.
Hood Drive is located between Route 1 and Route 208 in Spotsylvania County.  Motorists should use Route 1 at Four Mile Fork or South Point Parkway as an alternate route.
Work is expected to be complete and the road reopened by 5 a.m. on Thursday, September 24.
