Stafford County

§          Interstate 95

Sunday, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.; crews will be retrofitting the overhead signs on I-95 north between Exit 136 (Centreport Pkwy.) and Exit 140 (Rt. 630/Stafford).  One lane will be closed in the work zone.

§          Route 17 @ I-95

Sunday - Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north at the I-95 interchange.  Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17.  Expect brief delays.

§          Route 1

Monday- Friday, 9 a.m. – 2:30; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 1 north between Rt. 630 and Rt. 610.  Crews will be working along the shoulder.

Spotsylvania County

§          Interstate 95

Sunday, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.; crews will be retrofitting the overhead signs on I-95 north between Exit  130 (Rt. 3/Fredericksburg) and Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth). One lane will be closed in the work zone.

§          Route 3

Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews repairing potholes on Rt. 3 west between the Fredericksburg City limits to the Orange C.L.  This is a mobile operation and one lane will be closed to traffic in the work zone.

§          Route 208

Tuesday - Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p. m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane in each direction on Rt. 208 between Rt. 628 and Rt. 1401.  Crews will be repairing the shoulder in the area.

§          Route 1

Thursday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 1 north between Rt. 622 to the Ni River Bridge.  Crews will repairing the shoulder in this area.

·          Route 1@ Hudgins Road

Monday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 1 north at Hudgins Rd.  Crews will be installing traffic signal detectors in the left turn lane.

·          Bragg Road @ the entrance to Spotsylvania Crossing Shopping Ctr.

Motorists are reminded that the Bragg Road entrance to the Gateway Village Shopping Center at Giant is closed to all traffic. Motorists must use the Route 3 entrance to access the shopping center. The entrance will remain closed until mid-summer 2009.

Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue -Ongoing Construction Project

Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue.  This is in connection with the project to Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue from two to four lanes between Rt. 3 and the entrance to Central Park. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project

Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95.  Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.

King George County

·          Harry Nice Memorial Bridge (Route 301)

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on the bridge.  Trucks greater than

11 ft. wide will not be allowed to cross the bridge during work hours.  For more information call 301-259-4444.
