Stafford County

§          Route 17 @ I-95

Sunday - Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north at the I-95 interchange.  Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17.  Expect brief delays.

§          Route 1

Monday – Friday,  9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.;  motorists will be restricted to one lane at various locations on Rt. 1 north between the Fredericksburg City limits to Prince William C.L.   Crews will be repairing the shoulders.

§          Route 17

Monday, 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north at Rt. 612.  Crews will be patching.

Spotsylvania County

·          Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue -Ongoing Construction Project

Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue.  This is in connection with the project to Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue from two to four lanes between Rt. 3 and the entrance to Central Park. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project

Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95.  Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.

King George County

·          Route 301

Monday –  Thursday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be spraying herbicide at various locations along the shoulder on Route 301 between the King George C.L and the Maryland  State line. This is a mobile operation and one lane will be closed in the work zone.

·          Harry Nice Memorial Bridge (Route 301)

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on the bridge.  Trucks greater than

11 ft. wide will not be allowed to cross the bridge during work hours.  For more information call 301-259-4444.

City of Fredericksburg

·          William Street (Downtown Fredericksburg)

Wednesday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; the 400 block of William Street in downtown Fredericksburg will be closed to all traffic for utility work in connection with two on-going projects in the city.  The renovation of James Monroe Museum and the construction of Virginia Partners Bank.  In addition, no parking will be allowed in this area.  Detour signs will direct motorists around the work zone. Motorists should follow the detour signs.
