Stafford County

§          Interstate 95

Monday,  9 p.m. – midnight,  motorists should be alert to crews working along the shoulder on I-95  north at Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth).  There are no lane closures associated with this work.

Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; crews will be installing over height detectors on I-95 south at Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth).  There are no lane closures associated with this work.

Wednesday, 9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.;  crews will be removing the concrete barrier located on I-95 north at Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth).  One lane will be closed in the work zone.

§          Route 17 @ I-95

Sunday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north at the I-95 interchange.  Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17.  Expect brief delays.

§          Route 17

Monday – Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be repairing the pavement at various locations on Rt. 17 north between Rt. 1700 and Rt. 700.  This is a mobile operation and motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

Tuesday-Thursday,  7 a.m. – 5 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north just north and south of

I-95.  Crews will be installing over height detectors. 

Spotsylvania County

§          Interstate 95

Sunday - Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be installing weather stations on the I-95 bridge over the Rappahannock River just south of the Welcome Center. One lane will be closed in the work zone.

Monday – Thursday, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 south at mile marker 123 located just south Exit 126 (Spotsylvania).  Crews will be performing bridge work associated with the Rt. 608 (Massapanox Church Road) bridge replacement project.

·          Spotsylvania Towne Centre Entrance

On Monday crews will begin work to upgrade the existing entrance to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.  The continuous right turn lane on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre entrance will be closed to through traffic.  The right merge lane exiting the towne centre to Rt. 3 east will also be closed.  Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended.  Access to businesses located on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre will be maintained at all times.

·          Harrison Road/Beauclaire/Kingswood Blvd.

On Tuesday the newly installed traffic signal at Harrison Road/Beauclaire/Kingswood Blvd. will be activated iand placed in its flashing mode.  The signal will be fully operation on Thursday.  Motorists should be alert to the change in traffic pattern at this intersection.

·          Lansdowne Road (Rt.  638)

Motorists are reminded that Lansdowne Road is closed to through traffic until 3 p.m. Monday.  CSX crews are upgrading the rail crossing.

·          Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue -Ongoing Construction Project

Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue.  This is in connection with the project to Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue from two to four lanes between Rt. 3 and the entrance to Central Park. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project

Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95.  Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.

Caroline County

§          Interstate 95

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing trees along the shoulder on both north and south bound I-95 at Exit 110 (Rt. 639/Ladysmith). This is a mobile operation.  All travel lanes will be open. 

King George County

·          Route 3

Monday -Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; crews will be repairing the shoulder on westbound Rt. 3 at

Rt. 301.  Traffic will be maintained by a pilot truck.
