Hot Spots for the Fredericksburg Region
May 24 – May 30, 2009
§ Interstate 95
Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; crews will be installing conduit for height detectors along the shoulder on I-95 south at Exit 133 (Rt. 17/Falmouth). There will be no lane closures associated with this work.
§ Route 17 @ I-95
Tuesday - Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north and south at the I-95 interchange. Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17. Expect brief delays.
§ Route 17
Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.; motorists should be alert to crews working along the shoulder on Rt. 17 north and south near the I-95 interchange. Crews will be installing over height detectors.
§ Interstate 95
Wednesday - Thursday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be installing weather stations on the I-95 bridge over the
· Route 1
Wednesday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be working along the shoulder on Route 1 north between Rt. 608 and Rt. 628. One lane will be closed in the work zone.

· Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project
Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95. Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.
§ Interstate 95
Tuesday - Thursday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing trees along the shoulder on both north and south bound I-95 at Exit 110 (Rt. 639/Ladysmith). This is a mobile operation. All travel lanes will be open.
· Route 665
On Saturday, May 30, CSX will temporarily close Rt. 665 at Sealston to through traffic at the rail crossing.
CSX crews will be repairing the tracks. The crossing is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Sunday, May 31. Motorists should use the most convenient alternate route.
