Stafford County

§          Interstate 95

Wednesday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing dead trees at various locations along the shoulder on north and southbound I-95.  This is a mobile operation and the shoulder will be closed in the work zone.

§          Route 17 @ I-95

Tuesday - Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north and south at the I-95 interchange.  Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17.  Expect brief delays.

Spotsylvania County

§          Interstate 95

Monday – Tuesday, 10 p.m. – 4 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 north at mile marker 123 located just south of Exit 126 (Rt. 1/Spotsylvania).  Crews will be painting the structural steel and installing pedestrian fencing on the new Route 608 Bridge over I-95.

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing dead trees at various locations along the shoulder on north and southbound I-95.  This is a mobile operation and the shoulder will be closed in the work zone.

Wednesday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be installing weather stations on the I-95 bridge over the Rappahannock River just south of the Welcome Center. One lane will be closed on southbound I-95 in the work zone.

·          Route1

Tuesday- Wednesday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be patching potholes on Rt. 1 south between Rt. 608 to the Caroline C.L.  This is a mobile operation.  Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

·          Route 3

Sunday, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m.; the right turn lanes onto Bragg Road from Route 3 east and westbound will be periodically closed to traffic during the overnight hours.  Route 3 motorists will be allowed make a right turn onto Bragg Road from the through travel lanes.  This is in connection with the Route 3 widening project.

Monday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing trees along the shoulder on Rt. 3 between Rt. 621 and Rt. 640.  Motorists should expect brief delays.

Monday – Tuesday, 8 a.m. -3 p.m.; crews will be patching potholes on both and east and westbound Rt. 3 berween Fredericksburg City limits and the Orange C.L.  This is a mobile operation.  Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.

·          Route 608 (Massaponax Church Road)

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing trees along the shoulder on Rt. 608 between Rt. 208 and Rt. 1420.  Motorists should expect brief delays.

·          Route 627 (Gordon Road)

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; crews will be removing trees along the shoulder on Rt. 627 between Rt. 628 and the Ni River Reservoir.   Motorists should expect brief delays.

·          Spotsylvania Towne Centre Entrance

Motorists are reminded to be alert to the change in traffic patterns on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the entrance to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.  The continuous right turn lane on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre entrance will be closed to through traffic.  The right merge lane exiting the towne centre to Rt. 3 east will also be closed.  Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended.  Access to businesses located on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre will be maintained at all times.

·          Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue -Ongoing Construction Project

Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue.  This is in connection with the project to Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue from two to four lanes between Rt. 3 and the entrance to Central Park. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project

Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95.  Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.

King George County

·          Route 206

Sunday – Thursday, 8 p.m. – 5 a.m.; crews will be paving a 4 mile section of Rt. 206 at Rt. 3.  Motorists will be restricted to one lane.

·          Route 301

Sunday – Wednesday, 8 p.m. – 5 a.m.; crews will be installing signal loop detectors under the pavement at the intersection of Route 301 and Route 206.  Motorists traveling south on Rt. 301 should be alert to the work zone.

·          Route 665

Motorists are reminded that  Rt. 665 (Birchwood Creek Rd.) at Sealston is closed to through traffic at the rail crossing.  CSX crews are repairing the tracks.   The crossing is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Sunday, June 7.  Motorists should use the most convenient alternate route.
