§          Route 17 @ I-95

Monday – Friday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north and south at the

I-95 interchange.  Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17.  Expect brief delays.

Spotsylvania County

§          Interstate 95

Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be installing weather stations on the I-95 bridge over the Rappahannock River just south of the Welcome Center. One lane will be closed on southbound I-95 in the work zone.

·          Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue -Ongoing Construction Project

Wednesday – Thursday, 6 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will begin hanging the new traffic signals on Bragg Road at Willis Way and at River Road. Motorists should be prepared to stop periodically in the work zone.

Monday – Friday; motorists are reminded to be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue as work continues on the Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue widening project. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Spotsylvania Towne Centre Entrance

Motorists are reminded to be alert to changes in the traffic pattern on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the entrance to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.  The continuous right turn lane on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre entrance may be periodically closed to through traffic as well as the right merge lane exiting the towne centre to Rt. 3 east.  To avoid delays Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended.  Access to businesses located on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre will be maintained at all times.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project

Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95.  Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.

City of Fredericksburg

§          Central Road

Monday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Central Avenue will be closed be Summit Street and Harkness Blvd. for milling and paving.  Signs will direct motorists through the designated detour.
