§          Interstate 95

Monday, 9 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to two lanes on I-95 south at mile marker 123 located between Exit 126 (Rt. 1/Massaponax Church Road) and Exit 118 (Rt. 606/Thornburg).  The lane closure is associated with the work to complete the Rt. 606 Bridge replacement project.

Tuesday - Thursday, 10 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be periodically restricted to one lane on I-95 north and south between mile markers 122 – 126 located between Exit 126 (Rt. 1/Spotsylvania) and Exit 118 (Rt. 606/Thornburg).  This is permit work associated with new bridge over I-95 at Rt. 17.

·          All Way Stops

On Wednesday crews will install stop signs at the following intersections to create an all way stop pattern:

·          Buck Lane @ Miranda Court

·          Buck Lane @ Hawthorne Woods Circle

Motorists should be alert to the new traffic pattern.

·          Mine Road/Falcon Drive

Monday, motorists will be periodically restricted to one lane at intersection of Mine Road and Falcon Drive.  Crews will be moving signs and working on the traffic signals.  Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project
Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment, changes in traffic patterns and periodic traffic stops in this area.  The traffic signal and/or flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.

·          Spotsylvania Towne Centre Entrance

Motorists are reminded to be alert to changes in the traffic pattern on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the entrance to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.  The continuous right turn lane on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre entrance may be periodically closed to through traffic as well as the right merge lane exiting the towne centre to Rt. 3 east.  To avoid delays Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended.  Access to businesses located on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre will be maintained at all times.

City of Fredericksburg

·          Motorists are reminded that the intersection of Charles Street and Dixon Street in the City of Fredericksburg is temporarily closed to traffic due a major sewer line failure near the intersection.  If traveling south to Rt.2/17 motorists should take Lafayette Blvd. to the Blue/Gray Parkway.  The intersection remains open for traffic traveling north from Rt. 2/17 toward Caroline Street.
