Stafford County

§          Route 1

Tuesday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.; crews will be mowing on Rt. 1north between the Fredericksburg C.L. to Prince William C.L.  This is a mobile operation and motorists should be alert to slow moving equipment.

§          Myers Road and Karen Terrace

Motorists should be alert to the new traffic pattern at the intersection of Myers Rd and Karen Terrace in the Cannon Ridge subdivision.  Stop signs have been installed on Karen Terrace creating an all way stop at the intersection.

Spotsylvania County

§          Interstate 95

Sunday - Thursday, 9 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.; crews will be milling and paving on I-95 south between Exit 126 (Rt. 1/Spotsylvania) and Exit 118 (Rt. 606/Thornburg).  Two lanes will be closed to traffic in the work zone. Expect delays.

·          Route 608 bridge over I-95 –  Project Complete

The Rt. 608 bridge replacement project is now complete.  Motorists should be alert to the new traffic pattern.

·          Route 639 (Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue) -Ongoing Construction Project

Monday – Friday; motorists are reminded to be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue as work continues on the Bragg Road/Fall Hill Avenue widening project. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2011.

·          Spotsylvania Towne Centre Entrance

Motorists are reminded to be alert to changes in the traffic pattern on Route 3 eastbound between Bragg Road and the entrance to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.  The continuous right turn lane on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre entrance may be periodically closed to through traffic as well as the right merge lane exiting the towne centre to Rt. 3 east.  To avoid delays Towne Centre patrons should use the entrance located on Bragg Road Extended.  Access to businesses located on Rt. 3 east between Bragg Road and the towne centre will be maintained at all times.  

 City of Fredericksburg

·          Route 1 bridge over Route 3 (William Street)

Motorists will be restricted to one lane on both north and southbound Rt. 1 at the bridge over Rt. 3 for approximately 5 weeks for bridge rehabilitation.  The speed limit in the work zone is 25 miles per hour.

·          Motorist Alert

Wednesday - Friday, daylight to dusk; Motorists should expect delays on Powhatan Street, Augustine Avenue and Snowden Street.  Crews will be installing a water line.

King George County

·          Harry Nice Bridge (Rt. 301)

Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on the bridge.  Crews will be installing guardrail, pouring concrete and performing line striping.  Motorists should expect congestion and delays.
