Morning Commuters should use caution
Be alert to black ice

FREDERICKSBURG –  Morning commuters will find clear pavement on both the interstate and primary routes but are reminded that below freezing temperatures increases the potential of refreezing, especially on bridges, overpasses and  ramps. Some secondary routes  and subdivision streets throughout the district remain snow covered.  Motorists should use caution when leaving their neighborhoods.

VDOT crews will work in 12 hour shifts around the clock throughout the duration of the storm.  VDOT’s goal is to have all roads passable within 48 hours after the storm ends.

For real time road conditions and traffic information visit www.511Virginia.org  or call 511.  For more information about VDOT snow efforts and to find winter driving tips and other information, visit www.VirginiaDOT.org.
