Weekly Traffic Alert for the Fredericksburg Region
May 3 – May 9, 2009
§ Route 17 @ I-95
Sunday - Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on Rt. 17 north at the I-95 interchange. Crews are repairing the structural beams on the I-95 bridge over Rt. 17. Expect brief delays.
§ Route 1
Monday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be pothole patching at various locations on Rt. 1 south between the I-95 interchange and the Caroline C.L. This is a mobile operation. Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone.
Tuesday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be pothole patching at various locations on Rt. 1 north between I-95 and the
· Route 2
Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.; crews will be pothole patching at various locations on Rt. 2 north between Rt. 17 and Rt. 608. This is a mobile operation. Motorists will be restricted to one lane in the work zone .

Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment working along the shoulder along
· Route 608 bridge over I-95 – Ongoing Construction Project
Construction continues on the Rt. 608 bridge over I-95. Motorists should be alert to construction crews and equipment and changes in traffic patterns in this area.
City of

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane in the 400 block of William Street between Prince Edward Street and Charles Street will be closed to all traffic for utility work related to an adjacent development.

Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on the bridge. Trucks greater than
