One Lane on Route 360 bridge to be closed for Bridge Painting Project
King William County

FREDERICKSBURG— Preparations are under way to close one eastbound lane on the Route 360 bridge over the Pamunkey River in King William County.

On Tuesday, Sept. 28, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close one eastbound lane on the bridge for approximately three weeks.  This will allow crews from SAFFO Contractor’s Inc. to clean and paint the steel beams on the structure.  This maintenance operation will preserve the life of the bridge.

The width of the open travel lane on the eastbound side of the bridge will be reduced to12 feet. This width restriction will require wide load vehicles to use an alternate route.

The lane closure will be lifted by mid October.
