SNOW BEGINS TO FALL IN PORTIONS OF THE FREDERICKSBURG DISTRICT
(Be prepared for rapid changes in road conditions)

FREDERICSKSBURG— As the snow begins to fall in portions of the Fredericksburg District motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions.

VDOT crews are out applying chemicals to the interstate and treating area roads with salt, sand and abrasives.  Crews will not begin plowing operations until there is at least 2 inches of accumulated snow on the roadway.

Before heading out call 511 or visit www.511virginia.org  to get real time road condition information.

The following counties are included in the Fredericksburg District:  Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, Essex, King William, Westmoreland, Richmond, Northumberland, Lancaster, King and Queen, Middlesex, Gloucester and Mathews.
