VDOT URGES MORNING COMMUTERS TO USE CAUTION
(Main roads and commuter lots may be slippery)

FREDERICKSBURG (5 a.m.) — Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews worked overnight to clear the interstate, primary and major secondary routes through out the 14 county district.

Morning commuters will find the main routes and commuter parking lots primarily clear with some patches of snow and ice; some secondary routes and subdivisions streets may be snow covered.  VDOT urges motorists to use caution when leaving home and be alert to icy conditions especially at bridges, overpasses and ramps.

Before heading out be sure to call 511 or visit www.511,virginia.org to obtain the latest road condition information and view interstate traffic cameras.

Crews will continue to work throughout the day clearing area roads.
