BRIDGES ARE OPEN IN NORTHERN NECK, MIDDLE PENINSULA
VDOT will announce any future bridge closures and report them on 511Virginia

FREDERICKSBURG—All major bridge facilities in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula remain open to vehicular traffic at this time.

 

This includes the Coleman Bridge on Route 17, the Downing Bridge on Route 360, the Norris Bridge on Route 3, and the Lord Delaware Bridge and Eltham Bridge on Route 33.

 

VDOT personnel are monitoring weather conditions on these facilities. No specific time has been announced for any of these bridge facilities to close. Bridges may close during periods of sustained winds of 45 mph or greater.

 

VDOT will announce any bridge closure to local media outlets, including radio and television stations. Closures will also be reported through www.511virginia.org, which can also be reached by calling 511 from any phone in Virginia.
