CSX CORP. WORK WILL CLOSE SEVERAL ROADS IN STAFFORD COUNTY ON THURSDAY EVENING
Emergency Vehicles Will Be Granted Access During Overnight Closures

FREDERICKSBURG – Railroad tie replacement and railroad track maintenance scheduled by CSX Corp. will close Brent Point Road (Route 658) and Arkendale Road (Route 633) at the railroad tracks in Stafford County this week.

Brent Point Road and Arkendale Road will be closed to all traffic at the intersection with the railroad tracks from 9:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the evening of Thursday, March 31.

Motorists that travel Widewater Road (Route 611), which leads to Arkendale Road, will find the Arkendale Road and Brent Point Road intersection closed during the railroad work zone hours.

Emergency vehicles will be granted access to pass through the railroad work site during the closure.

On Friday, April 1, CSX will be paving at the intersection of the railroad tracks, Brent Point Road and Arkendale Road from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will be open to traffic, but limited to one lane.

Message boards will be posted in the vicinity of the project site, warning motorists and residents of the railroad work.
