CSX RAIL WORK AT FERRY ROAD CROSSING WILL BE COMPLETED TODAY
(Ferry Road will open to traffic shortly before 6 p.m. tonight)
FREDERICKSBURG – CSX crews have completed the rail crossing repairs at Ferry Road in Stafford County and VDOT will open the road to traffic at approximately 6 p.m. tonight.
Ferry Road was closed at the rail crossing on Tuesday, Aug. 16 to allow CSX crews to rehabilitate the existing crossing with concrete in order to provide a smoother riding surface for vehicles crossing over the tracks. It was anticipated that the crossing would be closed for approximately seven days; however, favorable working conditions allowed crews to complete the work ahead of schedule.
