RAILROAD WORK POSTPONED IN CAROLINE
Work now scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Thursday, Sept. 8

FREDERICKSBURG – Two CSX railroad crossing repair projects scheduled to take place this week on Claiborne Crossing Road and Woodford Road in Caroline County have been postponed due to road conditions following Hurricane Irene.

Woodford Road will now be closed to traffic at the crossing beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Claiborne Crossing Road will be closed to traffic at the crossing from 8 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8 until 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.

CSX is replacing the existing asphalt materials with new timber crossings.

Motorists should follow the posted detour signs around each work zone.
