CSX RAIL WORK WILL CLOSE SUMMIT CROSSING ROAD
Work expected to take seven days to complete

FREDERICKSBURG— CSX rail will be repairing the tracks at the crossing on Route 668 (Summit Crossing Road) in

 Spotsylvania County.  

Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 9, Summit Crossing Road will be closed to traffic at the rail crossing.  

Motorists should use the following detour around the work zone:

 Use   Route 608 (Massaponax Church Road) to Route 634 (Flippo Drive) to Route 660 (Guinea Station Road/Claiborne Crossing Road) to Route 609 (Macedonia Road) back to Route 668 (Summit Crossing Road)

Approximately 300 vehicles per day travel this portion of Summit Crossing Road.

CSX anticipates that the work will be complete in approximately seven days. The road will remain closed for the duration

of the project.
