DAYTIME PAVING SCHEDULED ON GORDON ROAD IN SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY
Single-lane closures August 6-17 may cause traffic delays
FREDERICKSBURG – Daytime milling and paving will occur on Route 627 (Gordon Road) in Spotsylvania County between August 6-17, weather permitting.
Work will occur on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The work zone is located between Chancellor Road (Route 674) and Harrison Road (Route 620). Paving work will begin just north of Lakeland Way and will end just south of Legacy Woods Drive.
While work is underway, a single lane will be closed on Gordon Road. Motorists will alternate traveling in a single open lane, as directed by a flagging crew.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has scheduled this paving work to occur during daytime hours due to the number of residences located directly along Gordon Road in the work zone. To avoid disturbing residents during overnight hours, this paving operation was scheduled to take place during the day.
Motorists are encouraged to use the most convenient alternate route to avoid delays.
