HARRISON ROAD CLOSED AT I-95 OVERPASS
Both lanes of Route 620 in Spotsylvania are closed to traffic at the bridge after vehicle crash

FREDERICKSBURG – Route 620 (Harrison Road) in Spotsylvania County is closed to traffic in both directions at the Interstate 95 overpass after the bridge was damaged in a vehicle crash.

A truck on Interstate 95 has struck the overpass, affecting a beam. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has bridge and structure officials at the scene inspecting and assessing damage.

No immediate estimate is available on when Route 620 will be re-opened to traffic. Motorists are encouraged to use the most convenient alternate route, and VDOT is arranging a designated detour route at this time.

Real-time listings of road closures and conditions in Virginia are available on VDOT’s 24-hour traffic and travel information website, www.511Virginia.org.  Motorists can also access 511Virginia by calling 511 from any telephone in Virginia.
