MERRY POINT FERRY CLOSED FOR REPAIRS
Ferry service in Lancaster County will be temporarily halted for mechanical repairs
FREDERICKSBURG – The Merry Point Ferry service in Lancaster County has temporarily ceased operations so mechanical repairs can be made to the vessel’s pulley system.
Repair work is estimated to take a week to complete. No ferry service will operate during this time. Additional notices will be released should circumstances change. The repair schedule is dependent on the availably of replacement parts.
The Merry Point Ferry service is located on Route 604 in Lancaster. It crosses the western end of the Corrotoman River. It is operated by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
