ROUTE 207 WESTBOUND BRIDGE OVER CSX PROJECT IN CAROLINE COUNTY MOVES FORWARD
Contractor ready to set beams for the new bridge; traffic to be stopped for 10 minutes in the work zone

REDERICKSBURG— The Route 207 (Rogers Clark Boulevard) westbound bridge replacement project in Caroline County is moving forward.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, the contractor for the project will set the beams for the new westbound bridge over CSX.  During this operation, all westbound traffic that is currently detoured onto the existing eastbound bridge, will be stopped periodically for no more than ten minutes throughout the night.  Approximately seven traffic stops are planned for this operation.

Eastbound traffic on the existing eastbound bridge will not be impacted by this closure.

The new bridge beams are expected to be in place and the designated traffic flow in the work zone will be restored by 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3.

The bridge replacement project is expected to be completed by May 2013.
