WORK ZONES TO CAUSE DELAYS ON THE NORRIS BRIDGE
One day bridge inspection on June 27; trenching operation June 28 through July 6

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has scheduled a routine bridge inspection on Wednesday, June 27 and trenching operations will begin on Thursday, June 28 on the Robert O. Norris Bridge.  

Both work zones will limit traffic to one travel lane on the bridge.

On Wednesday, June 27, a one day bridge inspection will begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to be complete by 3:30 p.m.

On Thursday, June 28, trench work will begin at the east end of the bridge.   Motorists can expect delays between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. through Friday, July 6.  There will be no lane closures on the bridge July 3 through July 5.  

The bridge is located on Route 3 over the Rappahannock River at White Stone.
