BENCHMARK ROAD, MINE ROAD CLOSED NEXT WEEK AT RAIL CROSSING
CSX is performing repairs to timber rail crossing in Spotsylvania County

FREDERICKSBURG – CSX is closing the intersection of Benchmark Road and Mine Road in Spotsylvania County from Monday, Nov. 4−Friday, Nov. 8 to repair a timber rail crossing.

 

The road will be closed for 24 hours a day, over 5 consecutive days. The intersection will close to traffic at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, and will not re-open until the evening of Friday, Nov. 8.

 

Detour signs will be posted along the route to guide motorists. To reach their destination, motorists should use Route 2 (Tidewater Trail) and Route 17 (Mills Drive), or the most convenient alternate route.
