PAVING UNDERWAY IN MATHEWS COUNTY
Motorists should expect delays from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day through August 2;

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be milling and paving at various locations in Mathews County beginning today, July 22 through Friday, August 2.   Paving on Route 3 will continue until Wednesday, August 7.

Motorists should expect delays and a rough driving surface in the work zone.

Crews will be working Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the following locations:

Route 14
A continuous 7.08 mile section between Route 3 and Route 198. Work is expected to be complete on Friday, August 2.

Route 198
A continuous 7.05 mile section from the intersection of Route 3 to just east of Route 14. Work is expected to be complete on Friday, August 2.

Route 3
A 0.11 mile section between Route 14 and the Mathews County line. Work is expected to continue until Wednesday, August 7.
