LANE CLOSURES ON NORTHBOUND I-95 TONIGHT IN FREDERICKSBURG
Motorists encouraged to check 511Virginia for real-time updates

FREDERICKSBURG – Two lanes of northbound Interstate 95 will be closed overnight in Fredericksburg underneath the Fall Hill Avenue overpass so crews can install an overhead sign.

Two lanes will close at 9 p.m. tonight and will re-open by 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24.

Motorists are encouraged to use Route 1 to avoid delays. The work zone is located between exit 130/Fredericksburg and exit 133/Falmouth in Stafford County.

Work has been scheduled weather permitting. This work zone had originally been scheduled to take place overnight on Monday, July 21, but was postponed.

Motorists can call 511, visit www.511Virginia.org, or use VDOT’s 511Virginia free mobile app to find real-time traffic and work zone information in any area of the state.
