LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR POTHOLE REPAIRS IN TAPPAHANNOCK
Motorists may experience brief delays Thursday-Friday for emergency road repairs

FREDERICKSBURG – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has scheduled two work zones this week on Route 17 and Route 360 in the Tappahannock area to repair potholes in the travel lanes.

 

Thursday, Feb. 6

Route 17 southbound

  • Single lane closure from Essex Street to Wright Street
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Friday, Feb. 7

Route 360 eastbound and westbound

  • Single lane closures between Cross Street and Water Street
  • Eastbound and westbound lane closures will be staggered, so no more than one lane is closed at a time.
  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

This work has been scheduled weather permitting. Although work is estimated to be complete by 7 p.m. each day, work will continue each night until completed.

 

Motorists can call 511, visit www.511Virginia.org, or use VDOT’s 511Virginia free mobile app to find real-time information on work zoned, lane closures and incidents in any area of the state.

 

Potholes

 

Potholes can be reported to VDOT’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). The Customer Service Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to answer questions and take reports of roadway hazards.
