FREDERICKSBURG—Motorists can expect brief overnight delays on Route 360 at the Downing Bridge on the evenings of Wednesday, Aug. 20 and Thursday, Aug. 21.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the bridge, where Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and contractor crews will patch the bridge deck for routine maintenance. Work is scheduled weather permitting.

This work was originally scheduled to occur on the evenings of Wednesday, Aug. 13 and Thursday, Aug. 14, which has been postponed to Aug. 20-21.

The Downing Bridge is located on Route 360 between Richmond and Essex counties, and crosses the Rappahannock River at Tappahannock.
