ELTHAM BRIDGE OPENINGS PLANNED FOR NOV. 9-11 AND NOV. 16-18
Motorists should expect overnight delays at the bridge between New Kent and West Point

FREDERICKSBURG – Nightly bridge openings are scheduled on the Eltham Bridge between Monday, Nov. 9 through Wednesday, Nov. 11, and again on Monday, Nov. 16 through Wednesday, Nov. 18.

The bridge will be opened between midnight and 1:30 a.m. Three 15-minute openings will take place each night during this 90-minute period.

Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes at a time, and then released between each opening.

The openings are part of a training exercise for new bridge operators.

The Eltham Bridge is located on Route 30 and crosses the Pamunkey River between New Kent County and the Town of West Point.
