RAVEN ROAD IN STAFFORD OPENS TO TRAFFIC, DETOUR LIFTED
VDOT completes project to replace bridge over Accokeek Creek
FREDERICKSBURG - Route 609 (Raven Road) in Stafford County has been reopened to traffic at the bridge over Accokeek Creek.
In late September, Raven Road was closed to through traffic near the eastern intersection with Route 608 (Brooke Road) while crews replaced the structurally deficient bridge over Accokeek Creek.
The new bridge over Accokeek Creek is now open to traffic and the four mile detour has been lifted.
According to a recent VDOT traffic count, approximately 230 vehicles cross the bridge each day.
