ROAD CONDITIONS IMPROVE BUT FREEZING RAIN COULD CREATE HAZARDOUS DRIVING TONIGHT
Motorists are urged to avoid overnight travel if possible
FREDERICKSBURG – (6:30 p.m.) Road conditions in the 14-county Fredericksburg District have improved throughout the day. However, freezing rain and low temperatures overnight could cause icy conditions especially on bridges, ramps and overpasses.
Motorists are urged to avoid overnight travel, if possible.
Interstate 95 and most primary and high volume secondary routes throughout the 14-county Fredericksburg District have bare pavement but may become slick overnight.
Many secondary routes and subdivision streets remain snow covered.
Snow removal crews will continue to work overnight treating priority routes and clearing secondary routes and subdivision streets.
Park and Ride lots in Stafford and Spotsylvania will be cleared in time for the morning commute.
