BRIDGE INSPECTION ON I-95 IN CAROLINE COUNTY SET FOR SATURDAY
Expect single lane closures on Interstate 95 northbound near Exit 104/Carmel Church
FREDERICKSBURG – A bridge inspection will close a single lane on Interstate 95 northbound during the day on Saturday, April 14 in Caroline County near Exit 104/Carmel Church.
Crews are inspecting the I-95 northbound overpass that spans CSX railroad tracks near the Carmel Church interchange.
VDOT has scheduled the inspection for a weekend at CSX’s request due to the availability of railroad flagging crews.
Motorists can expect brief delays on I-95 northbound between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. this Saturday between mile marker 101 and 103.

VDOT’s 14-county Fredericksburg District includes the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford in the Fredericksburg area; Northumberland, Richmond, Lancaster and Westmoreland counties in the Northern Neck; Essex, Gloucester, King & Queen, King William, Mathews and Middlesex counties in the Middle Peninsula.
